Obituary for Joe Hall

TIMBERLAKE: Joe Hall, 65, died Monday, September 10, 2018, at his home. He was born in Durham, the son of Florence Dalehite Hall and the late Bernard Lloyd Hall. He was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Hall. Joe retired from the City of Durham’s Sign and Paint Shop.

If you knew and loved Joe then you knew he had your back. He would help you, be there for you. He stood up for what he believed in and gave you an honest opinion. He loved his girls, Diane, Kim and Tabatha, and his grandchildren were the most wonderful blessings of his life. He has left a lifetime of memories for them all.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane Addison Hall; daughters, Kim Hall Register and husband Matt of Holly Ridge, Tabatha Hall Philpott and husband Jonathan of Timberlake; grandchildren, Austin, Zoie and Addie; sisters, Linda Cavanaugh of Morehead City, Carolyn Huff of Durham, Patricia Ford of Oxford; brother, Boe Hall of Timberlake; brothers-in-law, Mike Addison and wife Donna, Jerry Addison and wife Holly; sister-in-law Linda Strawbridge and husband Harold; and multiple nieces and nephews.

A family and friend gathering will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 from 1 to 4 p.m. at 2726 Oberlin Dr., Durham.
