Obituary for Frances Currin Churchill

DURHAM: Frances Currin Churchill, 96, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at her home in Durham. She was born in Granville Co., to the late Hardy Clifton Currin and Fannie Gray Averette Currin. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her first husband, Ralph Willard Jones; second husband, George Wayland Churchill; daughter, Lynda Sue Jones McCullers; and sister, Nellie Gary Currin Watkins.

Ms. Churchill was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church where she taught the Golden Circle Sunday School Class for 14 years. She retired from the Golden Belt Manufacturing Company as a Payroll Administrator.

Ms. Churchill is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Jones Teague (Jerry); and brother, H.C. “Hardy” Currin, Jr. (Jo Ann); 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15th at Maplewood Cemetery with Rev. Mark Mofield officiating.
