Obituary for Ida Bragg

Ida Jackson Bragg, 84, of Durham passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Crystal Coast Hospice House, in Newport, NC. Ida was predeceased by her husband, Sidney Harold Bragg, Sr. of Durham.
Ida was the 9th of 10 children born and raised on a farm in Moore County, moving to Durham where she earned her degree in Medical Technology at Watts Hospital. She retired early from the Durham County Health Department to travel the world with Harold. Ida was happiest tending her gardens or “wetting a hook” in Pine Knoll Shores.
Ida is survived by her children, Sidney and wife Jackie of Pine Knoll Shores; Suzanne Wheatcraft and husband Andy of Pine Knoll Shores; Sandra Crabtree and husband Jesse of Timberlake and her favorite grandchild, Haley Crabtree.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Clements Funeral Home in Durham.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 900 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice.
