Obituary for Pamela "Pam" Pulsfort

Chapel Hill, NC - Pamela Ann Pulsfort (nee Saunders), Age 64, of King’s Park International Church, went home to her beloved Jesus on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. She moved with husband Jerry Pulsfort from New Providence Presbyterian Church in New Jersey to Chapel Hill in May 1989. As beloved wife, devoted mother and best friend to daughter Elizabeth Pulsfort; loving grandmother (and more) of Jessie, Brianna, Naomi, and Bella; devoted daughter of the late Sam and Mae Jean Saunders; dear sister (but like a mother) and lifelong best friend to Brian (Sally) Saunders, and the late Sam/Howie and Cyndi Saunders. Pam is survived by her husband, daughter, grandchildren, niece, nephews and many other friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten.

Pam graduated from New Providence High School in 1971, became Editor of Union College literary publication Sheaf and studied fashion design in New York City. In 1974 she married the love of her life, Jerry Pulsfort, and they have been devoted to each other and inseparable ever since. Since 1991, Pam was blessed to serve at King’s Park International Church of Durham to the Church Board and Administration as Secretary, Deacon, and Hospitality Team and wherever else her wisdom and talents found extensive use. Rising to the role of Prayer Minister, she served as Lead Intercessor, mentor to many of the staff and congregants and led the Prayer Ministry.

On January 23 Pam finished her two-year battle with ALS to see in full what we see dimly; our Savior, Jesus, face to face! Praise be to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!

Described as a brave and strong protector and defender, Pam has never met a stranger. Lifelong learner; voracious reader. Courageous and generous; softhearted yet one tough cookie. Her smile would light up any day! Disciplemaker, Mentor, Ambassador for Christ, she was all these and more.

But what describes her best is anointed Prayer Warrior, completely devoted to battle in the heavenly realms against the spiritual forces of evil for the furtherance of God’s Kingdom to set the captive free!

Interment is private at the request of the family. All are welcome to her Memorial Service scheduled for noon on February 2, 2018 at King’s Park International Church, 1305 Odyssey Drive, Durham, NC 27713.

In lieu of flowers and in consideration of the loving support and generosity of King’s Park International Church, please make donations payable to King’s Park International Church, 1305 Odyssey Drive, Durham, NC 27713, in honor of Pam Pulsfort.
