Obituary for Larry Hunter Spence

HARKERS ISLAND: Larry Hunter Spence, 66, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2017 at Duke University Hospital. Larry was born in Suffolk, VA to the late Ruphius Pope Spence and Eunice Irene Griffin Spence. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by sister, Carolyn Bellamy.
Larry retired from Ready Mixed Concrete Company.
Larry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Terri Grant Spence; daughter, Amy Spence Manners (Robert V.); son, David Hunter Spence (Hannah A.); beloved grandchildren, Kaylea Elizabeth Manners, Reagan McClane Spence, Grant Michael Spence; brother, Garry Pope Spence (Pamela M.); and brother-in-law, Richard Bellamy.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm on Sunday, January 7th at Clements Funeral Home in Durham.
