Mary Ann Kirk Patterson
Mary Ann Patterson of Durham, NC, formerly of Lake Placid, NY, passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Roberta and Paul Glover, on July 19, 2019. She went through the gates of heaven to be reunited with her husband William R. Patterson. She is also predeceased by her parents, Andrew David and Anna Matt Kirk, seven brothers, Howard, Werner, Wallace, William, Fredrick, Gerard, and Norman Kirk, and four sisters, Sr. Andrew, Loretta Borden, Theresa Goodman, and Mae Jones.

Mary Ann is survived by her children- Roberta Glover (Paul), Durham, NC, Alan Patterson (Margaret), Lake Placid, NY, Rebecca Peacock, Queensbury, NY and David Patterson (Tracylynn) Lake Placid, NY. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren-John Boula, Groton, NY, Tiffany Simsek, Cary, NC, William Patterson (Arijana) Lake Placid, NY, Derek Patterson (Elizabeth) Saranac Lake, NY, Lyndsey Patterson, Lake Placid, NY, Adam Peacock, Kevin Peacock, Whitney Peacock and Ashley Antalek all of Queensbury, NY, Janelle Patterson, Kristopher Patterson, Lake Placid, NY; ten great grandchildren- Brittany Bones, Jacksonville, FL, Amber Simsek, Cary, NC, Bradley Smith, Cary, NC, Mason Patterson, Lake Placid, NY, Emma and Dominic Patterson, Lake Placid, NY, Ayden Bazzicalupo, Lake Placid, NY, Skyler, Landen, and Owen Antalek , Queensbury, NY, and 2 g great grandchildren- Jayden and Gabriel Bones, Jacksonville, NY., as well as, many friends and colleagues.

Mary Ann worked at the Post Exchange during WWII, and later at James C. Sheffield Ins., Art Jubin Ins., Bank of Lake Placid, NY and The Olympic Training Center from which she retired in 2011. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters.

A mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Lake Placid on August 14th at 10:00 AM followed by burial at St. Agnes Cemetery. A celebration of life for friends and family life will follow at the American Legion.
