Obituary for Marilyn Marsh Langlois

DURHAM: Marilyn Marsh Langlois, 88, died Tuesday October 30, 2018, at her home in the Duke Park neighborhood where she lived for 50 years. She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Frederick Marsh and Mabel Stanford Marsh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Alphonse Joseph Langlois, and daughter, Susan Langlois.

Mrs. Langlois graduated from Central High School, Class of 1947 in Manchester, New Hampshire, then went on to study nursing at The Elliot Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1950. After finishing nursing school she went on to serve at Travis Air Force Base in California during the Korean Conflict as a civilian nurse. Mrs. Langlois practiced nursing at various hospitals in New Hampshire. While living in North Carolina she worked at Watts Hospital, NC Memorial Hospital, McPherson Hospital, and Duke Hospital.

Mrs. Langlois is survived by children, Judith Jackson of Durham, NC, Robert Langlois of Durham, NC, Allen Langlois of Apex, NC, Janice Albaugh of Hillsborough, NC, David Langlois of Durham, NC; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 9 a.m., Saturday, November 10, at Duke University Chapel.
