Obituary for Harold "Kelly" Jolly, Jr.

DURHAM: Harold “Kelly” Jolly, Jr., 56, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at his home in Durham. He was born in Durham, the son of the surviving Harold Jolly, Sr. and Martha Fisher Jolly. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jolly is also survived by his wife, Gina Horn Jolly; daughters, Ashley Jolly Dispennette (Nate), Kaitlyn Jolly Salguero (Kevin); and grandsons, Elijah Cole Dispennette, Jayce Ryan Dispennette.

Kelly was a family man who fiercely loved the Lord. He was always there for his girls whether they needed a hug, advice, or someone to listen to a funny noise that their car was making. He was madly in love with his wife and high school sweetheart, Gina. He was the most affectionate and sincere man this world has ever seen. The world is a better place because of him.

He loved to cook for others and he could play the strings off of a guitar.

He was a member of Pi Kappa Phi of East Carolina University and was a licensed general contractor and owner/home inspector of America’s Home Checkers.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 29th at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Pastor Earl Echols and Rev. Bob Sipper officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4 to 6 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

The family is being assisted by Clements Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. in Durham. Online condolences may be sent to www.clementsfuneralservice.com.
