JAMES (JIMMY) WILBUR TWINE

DURHAM: James (Jimmy) Wilbur Twine, 83, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 at Hock Family Pavilion. Mr. Twine was born in Chowan Co., NC, the son of the late Leslie Elmer Twine and Cliffie Boyce Twine. He was employed with Tomlinson Plumbing and Heating, and Ferguson Enterprises for over 50 years. Mr. Twine was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Twine was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Lila Deans Twine; his sisters, Helen Pearson, Jean Whitfield, Gladys Harris, Virginia Ryan, and Mae Olson; and his brothers, Robert Twine, L.E. Twine, and E.G. Twine.

Mr. Twine is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Twine Choplin of Durham, NC; his son, Ken Eric Twine of Arapahoe, NC; his grandchildren, Eric Twine, Christopher Twine and wife, Stacy, Heidi Chambers, Amanda Choplin, and Carl E. Choplin, III; his great-grandchildren, Cameron Hicks and Abigail Twine; and his sister, Margaret Miller.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church by the Rev. Kenneth Forehand. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham.
