Obituary for Willie Wade Reardon

DURHAM: Mrs. Willie Wade Reardon, 85, died Thursday, March 30, 2017, at Hillcrest Convalescent Center. She was born in Harnett Co, the daughter of the late William Alvin Wade and the late Gay Nell Jones Wade. Mrs. Reardon has been a resident of Durham since 1951. She was a former long-time member of Christian & Missionary Alliance Church and currently a member of Mt. Bethel Presbyterian Church. She was a former employee of Liggett-Myers, Central Carolina Farmer and Duke Health Systems.

Mrs. Reardon is survived by her husband of 68 years, Wilton Reardon; daughters, Deborah Reardon (Don), Nancy Chalmers (Louis); son, Stephen Reardon (partner Rick Elliott), sister, Eva Knight; grandchildren, Marilyn Hester (partner Chad Huff), Jeff Rippy (Ginny), Renee' Rippy, Sharon Allen (Donnie), Olivia Millwood (James), Melissa Chalmers, Andrew Chalmers (Ellen), Robert Henninger; great grandchildren, Kearstin Hester (partner Vance Ray), Doug Hester, Jillian Rippy, William Rippy, Charlotte Rippy, Garrett Rippy, Joey Allen, Jessica Allen, Jason Allen, Sean Chalmers, Jase Millwood, Megan Haller, Landon Chalmers, Josiah Chalmers; and great-great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Makayla and Mason Ray and Bailee Hester.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 4th at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham with Rev. Ingram Hedgpeth and Pastor William Booth officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, April 3rd at Clements Funeral Home.
