Obituary for Judith Skaggs

DURHAM: Judith Skaggs, 74, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Treyburn Rehabilitation Center in Durham. She was born in Durham to the late James and Emma Allen. She was also preceded in death by three brothers.

Mrs. Skaggs attended West Durham Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a former member of the East Durham Church of God. She loved gardening, her flowers, and especially reading the Bible. She also loved her animals, Puff-Puff the duck and her dog, Bear. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and will be dearly missed by her family.

Mrs. Skaggs is survived by her husband, Delmas Harry Skaggs; daughters, Lisa Sykes (Steve), Dana Latta (Derek); son, Ronald Morris; sister, Alice Carpenter; one brother , Douglas Allen; 4 step-sons; 5 step-daughters; grandchildren, Kristen Sykes, Jacob Sykes, Jessica Sykes, John Latta, Logan Latta, Gavin Sharpe, Gage Sharpe; and great-grandchild, Landon Avant.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Monday, April 24th at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 23th from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
