Obituary for John Carter, Jr.

DURHAM: John Carter, Jr., 46, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Beacon Place Hospice in Greensboro. Mr. Carter was born in Durham to the late John William Carter and Tommy Rose Carter.

He was a 1992 high school graduate from Riverside High School. He attended the After Gateway day-program in Greensboro.

Mr. Carter is survived by his sister, Angela L. Carter; uncles, John Britt (Bonnie), Jimmy Carden; aunts, Pat Smith (Edom), Peggy Patterson (Thomas); half-sister, Pam Hudson (Robin); step-mother, Blanche Carter; caregivers, CeAeira White (Tony), Kim Henderson (Randy); and friends, Stephanie Goins, Lottorian Haynes.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16th at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham with Rev. Barry Chambers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to Universal Health Services for providing residential support throughout the years.
