Obituary for Donna F. Cooper

DURHAM: Donna F. Cooper, 67, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2018 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham. She was born in Durham to the late Wallace Freeman and Leone Wilkie Freeman.

Donna retired after 35 years of service at UNC as an Administrative Supervisor. She was a true blue Tarheel fan, especially basketball and football, loving anything Tarheel related. She enjoyed fishing and watching birds. She loved working in the yard, the mountains and her family and especially her dog, Cooper Cooper. When she was younger, Mrs. Cooper attended The Gospel Center. Donna will be dearly missed.

Donna is survived by her husband, Timothy “Tim” Cooper; daughter, Valerie Jill Brown (Eddie); and grandson, Elijah “Eli” Brown.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, May 5th at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham with Pastor Ed Brown officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 to 2pm at the funeral home.
