Obituary for Cynthia "Cissy" Ann Vann

CEDAR GROVE: Cynthia “Cissy” Ann Vann, 72, passed away at Hock Family Pavilion on Sunday, January 7, 2018 after a brief illness. Cissy was born in Dayton, OH and grew up in Durham. She was the daughter of the late Art and Joann Vann, the second of their twelve children. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Art; and her husband, Lou Luzadder. Cissy worked for Duke University Medical Center up until her death. Prior to that she was an administrator for the Petroleum Club of Houston for 25 years.

Cissy is survived by her sons, Vann and Geoffrey Huff; 4 grandchildren Mary, Clair, Sydney, and Emily; 2 great grandchildren, Vanessa and Elizabeth; 10 siblings, Susan (Tino), Ellen (Phil), Sarah (Chris) Gooche (Mark), Liza (Cameron), Woody (Lisa), Peter (Cari), Amy (Mark), John, and David.
Cissy loved family, church, her animals and sports. She was passionate about cooking for her family and friends.

A Celebration of Cissy’s Life will be held on Thursday, January 11 at 11:00 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church.
