Obituary for Charles Alexander Goswick

KING, NC - Charles A. (Alex) Goswick, 85, at his home Tuesday morning, October 10, 2017. Alex was born in Durham, NC to Claude B. Goswick Sr & Agnes S. Goswick.

Alex was truly a man of many talents. One of the original "Jack of All Trades". He could fix just about anything you threw at him, from antique clocks to sports cars and everything in between.

Alex graduated from Durham High School and spent a couple of years at UNC-Chapel Hill. He was a veteran of the Korea Era US Air Force. After the Air Force, he had a couple of local electrician jobs then went to work at Chemstrand in Research Triangle Park, and later worked at Monsanto as a Shop Forman. After retirement, he kept right on working.

In addition to his parents, Alex was also predeceased by his beloved wife, Betty; brother, Claude Jr. of Texas; along with his 2 brothers-in-law, and 1 sister-in-law.

He is survived by his son, Bart; sisters-in-law, Louise Goswick of Texas, Gene Ferrell of Virginia; and many nieces & nephews. Also surviving is Henry, his dog.

There will be a private graveside service on Monday, October 16, 2017.
