Obituary for Bonnie Lou Eastwood Sechrist

Hillsborough: Bonnie Lou Eastwood Sechrist, 67, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 18, 2018, at Brookshire Nursing Center. She was born in Oxford, NC, to the late Tommie Edward Eastwood and Catherine Louise West Eastwood. She was a graduate of Person High School and was retired from NC Cooperative Extension Service of Orange County.

Two of Bonnie’s greatest passions were her time spent with family at the beach and the joyful visits with her grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dennis Sechrist; daughter, Melissa Allison (Brad); son, Stephen Sechrist (Andre Paes); grandsons, Logan and Ethan Allison; brothers, Dannie Eastwood (Janet), Tommie Eastwood (Pauline); sisters, Shirley Winstead (Ray), Donna Carver (Tracey), Debra Weaver (Joe); nephew, Ricky Eastwood; nieces, Lauren Weaver, Brittany and Amber Carver; and brother-in-law, Bobby Sechrist.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 21, at Efland United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Tate officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, at Clements Funeral Home in Hillsborough.
