Obituary for Bobbi Jo McClain

DURHAM: Bobbi Jo McClain passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 in Charleston, SC. She was born in Boynton Beach, FL to Betty Jean Voorhees McClain and the late Robert Earl McClain.

Ms. McClain was a resident of Durham since 1978 and a graduate of Northern Durham High School.

Ms. McClain is survived by her mother, Betty; son, Taylor Deeams Cowan; grandson, James Robert Cowan; sister, Patricia Jean McHenry; brothers, Nathan L. McHenry III and wife Kay Upchurch McHenry, and Michael G. McHenry. She is also survived by niece, Becky Sims and husband, Randy and their children Jordan and Ryan; nephews, Steven Morton, Michael Morton and wife, Audra McIver, Kevin McHenry and his fiancé, Jennifer Lynn Manes and their son, Alex; niece, Addie McHenry Kimball and her husband, Aaron and their son, Maverick. Additionally, she is survived by numerous other relatives and dear friends including Donna Martin and Kim Starnes.

A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens on Saturday, June 17th at 11am. A brief visitation with family will be held immediately following the service at the gravesite.

In lieu of flowers, Bobbi Jo has asked that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
