DURHAM: Alvin L. Queen, 62, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at his home in Durham. He was born in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late Marvin Queen and Ila Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Queen and sister, Lyanna Wymmer. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Tire Technician for ORT Tire Service.
Mr. Queen is survived by his wife of 42 years, Bonny Glotfelty Queen; sons, Sean Roghelia, Jimmy Teters (Michelle), Christopher Roghelia, Martin Queen; and daughters, Dannell Queen (Ronald Roberson), Bobbi Jo Linscott (Nathan), Kimberly Queen (John Walker); 24 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Willard Shaver, Lester Patterson, David Patterson; and sister, Vickie Hamett.
A memorial service will be held on 1 p.m., Monday, March 20th at New Horizon Church in Hillsborough.
